Cigna Chiropractor Near Me Denver

Finding a Cigna Chiropractor in Denver You Can Actually Use

Got Cigna? Need a chiropractor? I take it. Been doing this since 2009, and yeah, I know how to bill Cigna properly so you don’t get surprise bills three months later.

I’m Dr. John Brockway. My office is at 425 S. Cherry St. in Glendale, basically right next to Denver. We’re accepting new Cigna patients and can help with everything from back pain to injury treatment. If you’ve been putting off getting your back or neck checked because you weren’t sure about insurance, let’s fix that.

Finding a Chiropractor Who Takes Cigna

Look, insurance is annoying. You’ve got Cigna coverage sitting there, but half the chiropractors in Denver either don’t take it or they take it but have no idea how to bill it right. Then you end up with claim denials and phone calls and headaches you didn’t sign up for.

My staff has been working with Cigna Health and Cigna Healthcare plans long enough to know the system. They can tell you what your plan covers before we start care. Not “probably covers” or “should cover”—actually verify it with Cigna directly. We’re one of the chiropractors in Denver who actually understand how insurance works.

Insurance Plans: Your Cigna Coverage and Chiropractic

Every Cigna health plan is different. Some cover 20 visits a year. Some cover 30. Some have a $20 copay. Others might be $58.

Before you come in, we call Cigna and find out:

  • What’s your copay?
  • How many visits are covered?
  • Is your deductible met yet?
  • Any weird exclusions we need to know about?

Takes maybe 30 minutes. Then you know exactly what you’re paying before you ever show up for your appts.

Chiropractic Treatment and Health Conditions We Address

Back Pain

Lower back problems bring in most Cigna patients. Threw it out lifting something. Chronic pain that won’t quit. Sciatica shooting down your leg. Whatever’s going on, chiropractic care can probably help.

Might use adjustments, decompression, laser, soft tissue therapy—depends on what’s wrong. Cigna usually covers a portion of it if it’s medically necessary (which it is when you can barely walk). Our chiropractic approach focuses on getting you back to normal function.

Neck Issues

Neck stuck to one side. Can’t check your blind spot. Headaches every afternoon. Shoulders always tight. Yeah, that’s fixable with proper chiropractic treatment.

Different people want different approaches. Some are fine with traditional adjustments. Others prefer gentler stuff. Either way works for your health. Cigna covers it.

Accident Care After Car Crashes

Got rear-ended? Your car insurance pays first through PIP, then Cigna might cover additional if needed. We coordinate with both all the time and specialize in accident care.

Whiplash is real. ER clears you for fractures and sends you home. But the soft tissue damage? That needs actual chiropractic care and injury treatment to heal right.

Sports Injuries

Pulled something training. Overdid it. Now you’re limping around. Athletes need injury treatment that actually fixes the problem and figures out why it happened so you don’t just re-injure it next month.

Falls under your regular Cigna chiropractic coverage. We’ll get you back to training safely with proper chiropractic care.

Desk Job Pain

Sitting all day wrecks people. Repetitive motions, bad ergonomics, years of poor posture—it adds up. If it’s affecting your work or life, worth getting checked for your health.

First Visit for Chiropractic Care

Bring your Cigna card and ID. We’ll copy them. If we haven’t verified benefits yet, we’ll likely do that while you’re doing paperwork.

The exam is pretty thorough because I need to actually understand what’s wrong. We’ll talk through your history and what’s bothering you. Then physical exam—how you move, reflexes, what positions make things worse.

After that, I explain what I found. Whether imaging is needed. What chiropractic care and treatment look like.

Here’s where I’m upfront about the coverage piece. If your Cigna plan covers 20 visits and I think you need 15, we’re good. If I think you need 30 and your plan only covers 20, we talk about that reality before starting anything.

What Cigna Usually Covers

Spinal Manipulation and Physical Therapy

Spinal Adjustments – Standard chiropractic spinal manipulation. Manual or instrument-based. Almost always covered.

Exercises – Specific stuff to strengthen weak areas and prevent re-injury. Usually covered as part of your visits.

Physical Therapy and Soft Tissue Work – Soft tissue, myofascial release, trigger points. Most plans include this therapy.

Decompression – Computerized traction for disc problems. Not usually covered.

Laser Therapy – Our Class IV laser reduces inflammation and speeds healing. Coverage varies—some plans include it, some don’t. We check this specifically if laser’s part of your plan.

Rehab Programs – Multiple therapies combined. Typically covered under your visit benefits.

What you actually need depends on what’s wrong. The exam determines the approach.

How Billing Works

We’re in-network with Cigna. You pay your copay at each visit. We file the claim. Most process within 6 weeks.

Got a deductible that’s not met yet? You’ll pay full visit cost until you hit it. We’ll tell you where you stand based on benefits verification.

If something isn’t covered by your specific plan, we discuss it beforehand. You can pay out-of-pocket if you want, or we modify the plan to stick with covered stuff.

My staff handles the paperwork. You don’t file claims or chase checks. We deal with Cigna directly so you can focus on your health.

Cigna Health Insurance Plan Types

PPO – Most flexible. Come straight in, no referral. In-network rates.

HMO – Slightly less flexible. Not a problem, still covered.

EPO – We verify we’re in-network before treatment.

Open Access Plus – Usually direct access, no referral. Defined visit limits.

Two people with “Cigna PPO” might have totally different copays and visit limits depending on their employer’s plan. That’s why we verify everyone individually.

What to Ask Cigna About Your Health Coverage

Before your visit, helps to know:

  • What’s my copay?
  • How many visits covered per year?
  • Deductible met?
  • Any services excluded?

My staff asks Cigna these when verifying benefits. But if you want to call them yourself first, member services number is on your card.

When Cigna Won’t Cover It

Sometimes Cigna won’t pay for certain things. Plan doesn’t include laser therapy. You hit your annual visit limit. Prior authorization got denied.

When that happens, here are your options:

  • Pay out-of-pocket for it
  • Modify treatment to only covered stuff
  • Wait until benefits reset next plan year

I’m not going to pressure you. Whether paying out-of-pocket is worth it depends on your budget and how much you need that specific therapy or treatment.

Why Cigna Patients Come Here

Insurance shouldn’t give you a headache. My staff knows Cigna’s system and handles paperwork right so claims actually get paid. When problems pop up, they call Cigna and fix it instead of making you deal with it.

Fourteen years means I’ve treated pretty much everything under Cigna coverage. I know what chiropractic approaches work, how to document it properly for insurance, and how to get authorization when needed.

Good equipment—laser, decompression, everything needed to actually treat complex problems. Cigna coverage means you can use these without paying full price yourself.

Thorough chiropractic care, straight talk about costs, provider who knows how to work with Cigna. That matters when you’re in pain and don’t want insurance drama affecting your health on top of it.

Using Your Benefits Smart

Plan covers 20 visits? Use them strategically for your health. Don’t waste visits on maintenance when you’ve got real problems needing attention. Fix what’s broken first.

When you’re better, spread remaining visits out instead of coming weekly just because you can. Save some for flare-ups or new issues later in the year.

Got chronic stuff that needs more visits than your limit? We’ll discuss options. Spacing further apart. More home exercises. Timing intensive phases when benefits reset.

Goal is getting you better, not maxing out insurance. But if you’ve got coverage, use it intelligently.
