Back went out this morning? Neck locked up and you can barely turn your head? Your body is telling you something’s wrong. You don’t need to wait two weeks for an appointment with chiropractors who can’t fit you in. We accept walk-in patients.
I’m Dr. John Brockway, a Denver chiropractor with my office at 425 S. Cherry St. in Glendale, right on the border of Cherry Creek and Denver. Been treating patients here since 2009. If you’re in pain and need a chiropractor today, my friendly staff can usually get you in for same-day care.
Why Wait When You’re in Pain? Denver Walk-In Chiropractic
Most chiropractors in Denver want you to schedule weeks out. That’s fine for wellness maintenance. But when you threw your back out picking up your kid, or woke up with your body completely locked up, waiting two weeks isn’t realistic. The pain is now.
We keep room in our schedule for walk-in patients and same-day appointments. Pain doesn’t wait. Your chiropractor shouldn’t make you wait either. Among chiropractors in the Denver area, we’re one of the few who actually accommodate urgent visits.
If you’re in the Glendale or Cherry Creek area and need chiropractic therapy today, just come in. Or call ahead if you want to make sure we can see you right away—720.889.1659.
How Walk-In Chiropractic Visits Work
You show up. We get you in as fast as possible. That’s the goal.
When you walk in, let my staff know you’re a new patient with acute pain. They’ll get your paperwork started while we work you into the schedule. Most walk-in patients are seen within 30-45 minutes, sometimes faster depending on the day.
If you want to skip the wait entirely, call ahead. Even 20 minutes notice helps us prepare a spot for you. Either way works—we’re flexible because we know pain doesn’t follow a schedule.
What to Bring
Your ID and insurance card if you have insurance. That’s it. If you have recent X-rays or MRIs from another provider, bring those too, but don’t let missing records stop you from coming in. We can work with what we have and order imaging if needed.
What Happens at a Walk-In Visit in Cherry Creek
Same thing as any first visit, just faster. I’ll do an exam to figure out what’s causing your pain—where it hurts, how your body is moving, what makes it worse. Then I explain what I found and what therapy makes sense for your situation.
If you need an adjustment that day, we might just do it. Most walk-in patients leave feeling significantly better than when they walked in. Not 100% fixed in one visit—that’s not realistic—but real pain relief that lets your body start healing.
When to Walk In to a Chiropractor
Walk-in chiropractic care is for patients who need help now, not next week. Common reasons patients walk into our Glendale office near Denver:
Your Back Went Out
Bent over to grab something and felt that pop. Now you can barely stand up straight. Back pain like this responds well to same-day chiropractic therapy. The sooner we address it, the faster your body recovers. Waiting around hoping it’ll fix itself usually makes it worse.
Neck Locked Up
Woke up and can’t turn your head. Slept wrong. Sudden neck pain that won’t quit. This is exactly what walk-in chiropractic care is for. Patients don’t need to suffer through a week of limited mobility waiting for an appointment in Denver.
Auto Accident or Injury
Got rear-ended yesterday. Felt okay at first, now everything hurts. Whiplash pain often shows up 24-48 hours after an auto accident. Walk in and get evaluated. Early chiropractic treatment after auto accidents leads to better outcomes than waiting to see if the pain goes away. I recommend getting checked within 72 hours of any collision.
Sports Chiropractic for Athletes
Tweaked something at the gym. Overdid it on a run. Weekend warrior injuries. Athletes and active patients know the difference between normal soreness and something that needs attention. Sports chiropractic focuses on getting your body back to performance, not just pain-free. If something’s wrong, walk in.
Sudden Sciatica or Radiating Pain
Pain shooting down your leg that wasn’t there yesterday. Numbness or tingling in your arm. New radiating pain suggests nerve involvement, and that’s worth getting evaluated by a chiropractor quickly rather than hoping it resolves on its own. Spinal decompression therapy may help if disc issues are involved.
Headache That Won’t Quit
Tension headache for three days straight. Pain at the base of your skull. Often neck-related, and chiropractic care can help when painkillers aren’t cutting it. Your body doesn’t need more medication—it needs the underlying problem fixed.
General Chiropractic Conditions We Treat Same-Day
Our Glendale chiropractor office handles all the common reasons patients need urgent chiropractic care. We’re one of the chiropractors Cherry Creek and Denver residents trust for same-day treatment:
Back Pain — Lower back pain, upper back pain, muscle spasms, disc issues. The most common reason for walk-in chiropractic visits in Denver.
Neck Pain — Stiff neck, locked up neck, whiplash, cervical pain. Second most common walk-in issue we see.
Sciatica — Pain radiating down the leg from the lower back. Often responds quickly to chiropractic therapy and adjustment.
Headaches — Tension headaches, cervicogenic headaches. Especially ones that start at the neck and radiate up.
Auto Accident Injuries — Whiplash, soft tissue injuries, post-collision pain. The sooner patients get chiropractic care after an accident, the better.
Sports Injuries — Strains, joint pain, overuse injuries. Getting athletes back to activity faster with sports chiropractic care.
Joint Pain — Shoulder pain, hip pain, knee pain that came on suddenly or worsened.
Spinal Decompression and Advanced Therapy Options
Beyond general chiropractic adjustments, we offer additional therapies that help patients with more complex issues:
Spinal Decompression — Traction therapy for disc problems, bulging discs, and herniated discs. Spinal decompression creates negative pressure that helps discs heal and takes pressure off nerves. Not every patient needs it, but when disc issues are causing your pain, spinal decompression can make a significant difference.
Laser Therapy — Class IV laser reduces inflammation and speeds healing. Good for soft tissue injuries and chronic pain conditions.
Soft Tissue Therapy — Myofascial release, trigger point therapy. Addresses muscle tension that contributes to pain and limits your body’s mobility.
During your walk-in visit, I’ll determine what therapy makes sense for your specific situation. Sometimes an adjustment is all you need. Sometimes your body needs more comprehensive treatment.
From Urgent Care to Wellness Chiropractic
Many patients walk in for acute pain and end up becoming regular wellness patients. That’s not a sales pitch—it’s just how it works. Once we fix the immediate problem, some people realize their body functions better with ongoing chiropractic maintenance.
Wellness chiropractic focuses on keeping your body functioning well before problems develop, rather than waiting until something breaks down. Some patients come in monthly for wellness visits. Others come quarterly. There’s no required schedule—your wellness plan depends on your body, your activity level, and your goals.
But that’s down the road. Right now, if you’re in pain, the priority is getting you relief. Wellness can wait until your body is out of crisis mode.
Insurance Still Works for Walk-In Visits
Some patients assume walk-in means paying cash. Not true. Your insurance works the same whether you scheduled two weeks ago or walked in 20 minutes ago.
We’re in-network with most major insurance carriers in Denver: UnitedHealthcare, Cigna, Aetna, Blue Cross Blue Shield, Humana, and others. We also accept Medicare and VA Community Care through TriWest for veteran patients.
Bring your insurance card when you walk in. My staff will verify your chiropractic benefits while you fill out paperwork. You’ll know what your copay is before we start therapy. No surprise bills.
Don’t have insurance? We offer affordable self-pay rates for patients without coverage. Ask about our free consultation for new patients to discuss your situation before committing to treatment.
When to Call Ahead vs. Just Walk In
Either works, but here’s some guidance:
Just walk in if: You’re already near our Glendale or Cherry Creek location. You’re in significant pain and just need to be seen. You don’t want to wait on hold.
Call ahead if: You’re driving from further out in Denver and want to confirm we can see you. You have specific insurance questions. You want to minimize wait time at the office.
Phone is 720.889.1659. My friendly staff will help you either way.

Why Denver Patients Choose This Walk-In Chiropractor
Plenty of chiropractors in Denver claim to take walk-ins but then make you wait forever or reschedule you. We actually accommodate same-day patients because we know that’s when people need help most.
Fifteen years in practice means I’ve seen pretty much everything that walks through the door. Acute back pain, locked-up necks, post-accident injuries—these are exactly the situations where same-day chiropractic care matters for your body’s recovery.
We’re also straight with patients about what to expect. If your problem needs more than one visit, I’ll tell you. If something seems serious and needs imaging or another specialist, I’ll tell you that too.
Walk-in chiropractic care should be simple. You’re in pain. Your body needs help. We provide it.
